Yes, you should have been kept in the loop about the discussions but if you've done this job for any length of time, you should know that doesn't happen many times.
If the facetime witness is okay in Florida (or any state, including my own) I've got no idea.
However, you are not innocent in all this. Your 5:17 response is exactly what you are complaining about them - they didn't let you know what was going on ... and neither did you. A response along the lines of "I don't believe we can do a facetime witness, I spoke w/borrower and instructed him to obtain a witness". At that point, the conversation should have progressed to get a solution prior to your arrival. They could have been searching for a neighbor, the realtor, etc. rather than almost an hour later at 6:10 when the witness search begins. Her exact type non-response to you at 5:20 is the problem.
Yes, you know what you said and the borrower said. But at the point you were informed that scenario changed, to make YOUR life easier, you should have pressed for details and clarification at 5:17 rather than not have a definitive, agreed to and stated by all, solution.
"Not necessary" without stating your intentions and "okay" without her knowing your intentions. was sloppy on both sides. |
