Signing agents are notorious for not leaving this business no matter how bad things get. Hope has always been "just a few months away". "this slowdown is temporary", "business is cyclical and will bounce back" and so on.
This time is tuly different. This is a dying industry, RON will be ubiqitous very soon. Notaries will be wiped out while desperately hoping for a comeback. It is not going to happen.
During the so called "boom times", notaries did not "bank" any real money. It is not as if notaries were earning $300,000 or more and therefore could save some money. While the job market is smoking hot, every notary who is depedent on income as a signing agent to survive, had better spend the next 90-days looking for a legitimate job. You won't regret it. |
