Do you charge escrow officers when you have to go back out?
Posted by JustANotary of CA on 11/28/22 12:28pmMsg #643496
I am currently receiving most of my business (what little there is currently) from two escrow officers. One never needs me to go back to fix their mistakes, the other needs me to back out a number of times a year. Do you all charge to go back? I read here many years ago that many notaries only charge SS, they do not charge when they are being paid directly from title. In the past I have been charging and I have probably lost some escrow officers because of that, but I was getting too much business anyway & it was a way of weeding out people I really didn't care to lose. But now I need to be more careful not to lose any business...
