I've tried to figure out what logic they could possibly be using for those widely cast nets, too. Is it just laziness? Is that kind of an order just easier to execute? Are they just idiots?
I received one like that a few days ago: $45 offer (including scanback), in Big Bear, a community more than 90 miles away from me, up in the mountains. There is no possible way that makes any sense for anyone within a 10, 20++ mile radius of me, even if they countered at triple the rate. At today's prices ($6+/gal), $45 wouldn't even cover the gas. If driving an EV, we're still talking about 4 to 6 hours drive time or more - IF they take the toll roads. Seriously?! Even if someone near me was planning to be there anyway to go boating (or skiing, if in winter), who'd want to use up any of their getaway time for $45?! There are so many notaries in this part of the state/country that it's extremely rare for me to see one of these emails get re-posted because it wasn't filled - which again makes me wonder why the wide net. (I'm not sure I even want to know who the idiots are in this equation... )
