Expecting a check from area affected by Hurricane Helene?

I had a signing on 9/20th for a TC located in Clearwater, FL. They're always good about paying. Without thinking about it, on 10/1st, I made the insensitive move to inquire about payment. That same day, they responded saying check had been mailed out on 9/24th but is probably delayed due to Helene.

If you're expecting a check from a company in the affected areas, you may want to allow additional time for delivery. IMO, this is one time when it behooves us to be patient and understanding.
