North Central Florida here, about 40 miles northwest of Gainesville close to I-75 corridor - we are currently under a Tropical Storm warning, so we should be okay. We got through Helene pretty well (most of us) - think TS Debby left more damage up here. Just hoping our oaks can withstand another storm so soon - we haven't had much time to dry out.
My heart goes out to those from about Ocala and south - the storm itself and the storm surge is going to be horrific. Current report up here shows storm eye coming in just south of Tampa, closer to Sarasota - but it's still coming in at a Cat 3, close to Cat 4 - my thoughts and prayers go out to all the folks down there.
