My question would is, would you be in line as a beneficiary of the estate if something were to happen to her? If she has a trust or will naming others that wouldn't be a conflict, but if she is single and doesn't have an estate plan, it could get dicey.

Personally, I would avoid the appearance of any impropriety. Be there for her with champagne and celebrate as Proud Mom!! (and congrats to your daughter)
