Did you check them out at all before accepting work from them? (Especially the second time!) From what I saw from a very quick check, this seems to be a pattern with this company.

When we accept an assignment from a company, we're essentially extending credit to them. Upfront, we invest our time, paper, toner, fuel and wear and tear for our vehicle, etc. on the expectation that we'll be paid whatever fee was agreed to. Compare it to a banker being asked to lend money to some stranger who just happened to walk in and ask. You would go through a process to vet them first, to make sure they were trustworthy. Any business that extends credit in some form will go through a similar process, if they want to stay in business...

Sorry this happened to you, and I hope you get paid. In the meantime, I suspect you'll take steps in the future to avoid falling into this situation again. BTW, you may want to do a search on this site for "collections". There's been lots of useful info posted here over the years.
