read and heed. We "oldies" spew this out over and over again but it just doesn't seem to sink in with some.
I'm a strong proponent of two issues that would greatly improve the business of being an NSA:
1. Eliminate signing services - they're popping up all over the place with many run by people with no clue how to do signings or only the basic knowledge of how to be a notary - and with no capital to sustain their business and pay the notaries. Get rid of them -
2, Notaries and NSAs should be paid at the table with their name and fee disclosed on the CD as POC - and I know I've said it many times but I'll never give up that belief. Our fee should not be contingent on another company's finances and payment schedule....we need to have control of that ourselves. Isn't that what "independent" means?
