| Don't forget, it's title/escrow who finalizes the CD, not the lender. Yes, they get lender approval and the "clear to close" comes from a collaboration of both - but the notary's name CAN be put on the CD along with the fee marked as POC just as other fees on the CD are marked as such (the appraisal is the first that comes to mind). As long as all monies are accounted for and there's no outside fees related to the closing/transaction, they it's compliant. |
