No, the borrowers wrote the notary a personal check, and

provided a copy of the previous Estimated Closing Statement with notary fees listed. The borrowers were shocked they were asked to pay her because they were not advised of this prior to the signing. Maybe all is well, but the borrowers were definately not okay with it.
