receiving emails, using a map, going on-line to post updates on a TC's or signing service's web site, etc. My carrier is T-Mobile & they offer unlimited anytime, anywhere minutes for $49.95 plus the BB package wh/ is about $20. I know others are paying $120 - $130 for roughly the same service w/ other carriers, e.g.; Verizon. The T-Mobile offer is (I think) a nationwide offer so it seems like it's a pretty good deal if they've got good coverage in your area.
But you certainly don't need a BB, or any other smart phone, to receive emails where ever you are. If you have a wireless notebook, it accomplishes the same purpose. |
