I guess you could tell half way through my post I started have second thoughts as well. Twitter is one of those things that unless you use it, you dont' see any use in it. Has it made me any money? Not directly. Has it improved my website's SEO, yes. I believe it has. Has that made me money. Yes, definitely.
However, I still agree with most of your comments. In no way shape or form would I try to pretend that adding Twitter to our profiles is of the utmost importance. : )
