The wonderful thing about being young and having vision is that you can try out a few things and then figure out what your "bliss" is...or at least something close. Welding is a very respectable trade, but in North Tx I hear things are really slow. I have a stepson who is a welder in that area so that's where that comes from. (I have no idea what area you are in.) Welding used to be a way to make a lot of money in Texas but unless you've got an "in" somewhere, it's not the best trade right now. I have a cousin who could make as much as $10K in a month in East Tx doing special jobs for a brick factory, no less, as a SIDE job (he's got chicken houses as his primary work) but that's kind of rolled back for now.
Go to school...great plan! The notary biz is a slow go right now but you might be able to pick up a little work until the semester starts. One thing about it...LVNs and RNs are always in demand these days. Good luck with your endeavors. |
