Yeah, I'm not totally buying her busing story yet.
I did some of my own research on this and found the following: Berkley schools began busing black children into white schools 3 miles away in 1968 as part of an experiment to completely desegregate their schools because, well, it was Berkley - then as now, extremely liberal and progressive. The LA Times reports that Harris was bused from 1969-1973, so although we know that she WAS bussed, her claim at the debate that she was in the "second class" of children bussed may not be true - the timing is wrong.
