Re: To correct the record on past Prez/4th celebrations...

“How they celebrated it and whether they inserted themselves in the middle of a national celebration are two very different things. Trump tried to turn it into a partisan celebration by excluding the Dems, and for once the networks weren't buying it - as far as I know, none of them broadcast it live.”

The Dems were not excluded, Pelousy and Schitmore and all the rest chose not to attend. If all of the libs were excluded, tell me how Code Red showed up with their Baby Trump balloon.

“Independence Day is not a celebration of the military and never has been - the name itself should tell you that - it's a celebration of the day we declared our independence from a tyrant. Yes, there may be events featuring the military, but that is NOT what the day is about.”

Yeah your right, we sent King George III a letter and he just rolled over and said OK! Our military had nothing to do with us gaining our independence.
Here in Fort Wayne, IN, the Blue Angels did a flyover, pretty disgusting right?

“Why do you think the senior people in the Pentagon were opposed to this? Why do you think none of the heads of the services were in attendance? They saw this as a pointless waste of money and manpower.”

Uh. Let’s see Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Karl Schultz, Vice Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Bob Burke, Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Stephen Wilson, incoming Army Vice Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Joseph Martin and Marine Corps, Lt. Gen. Eric Smith.

Mike, you really need to stop putting your half-truths out there.
