That picture is heart-breaking - I don't know how anyone can look at it and say that we're doing the right thing to protect our borders. People don't have to die to get here - asylum is an internationally recognized right. 75% claiming it at our borders are turned away and sent back - it was never an open border. At least give them a chance to claim asylum and make their case without having to risk their lives in the process. What's wrong with that idea??
The Trump administration has absolutely no empathy for anyone - unless you're from Norway, the most Caucasian country in the world. Trump and friends will welcome them with open arms. If you're black or brown, not so much... |
