I don't agree with her assessment that impeachment is necessary or even reasonable. The House can certainly impeach Trump, but what would be the point? The GOP controlled Senate won't convict, and if we look at what happened with Clinton, his impeachment actually INCREASED his favorability numbers. We have an election coming up in 2020 - let the people decide Trump's fate. Probably better to focus on how Trump broke the law, as laid out in Volume 2 of the report. There's no exoneration at all in that report, especially on the question of obstruction - Mueller literally says they cannot exonerate him, and couldn't charge him with obstruction because they were not allowed to.
Those dancing around and celebrating that there's no collusion and no obstruction need to actually read the document rather than listen to how Bill Barr characterizes it, because that's not what it says. |
