As I said above, this whole stunt was clearly for Republicans and Republican donors. We, the people, were forced to stand behind chain link fences several hundred yards away. So if this was all about how great America is, why were the people not allowed to be involved?
His speech was a hot mess, with a number of historical inaccuracies. He was frequently slurring his words - could be fatigue, could be bad dentures, could be a serious neurologic problem. I have no idea which, but it's not the first time he's done this, so it's a bit concerning
His speech was somewhat less than historicaly accurate. I'm not going to get into the airports remarks that everyone else is talking about. I have no idea what he was talking about because I know he's an idiot, but the one remark I found interesting is when he conflated the Revolution with the War of 1812 - when he said that the Revolutionary Army saw the 'rockets red flare" at Fort McHendry.
We have a President who has no idea about our nation's history. If this fact does not concern you, you have a serious problem. |
