Socialism is Socialism no matter how you paint it or what you call it.
Social programs can - and do - exist in a capitalist society. They redistribute wealth based on the needs of certain groups of citizens. Obvious examples of current social programs are Social Security (duh), Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, CHIP...
Yup, and they are all failing. Social Security has reserves of about 10-15 years, and then will be running at a deficit, all the others are in the red right now.
And i will stop calling them socialists right after the libs stop playing the race card. |
