Yep - the only thing they can agree on is that the inversion signals an impending recession because it has happened before the last 6 or 7 recessions, but there are a lot of other indicators and only some of them are blinking at this point. I think it's a question of not if, but when.
Saw clips of Kudlow on the Sunday morning shows saying that he is certain that there won't be a recession. He said the same thing just before the 2007 Great Recession, so I don't know that we should trust his opinion.
