Well, not defending them, but our troops are working and doing their task assigned to them. Sometimes they sleep in ditches too and much worse conditions...snow, sleet, rain, sand storms. I don't think a "thank you " for that is really necessary as they are paid to protect and doing their job. it didn't look right sprawling out all rooms and halls of the Capitol building, so they sent them to another location that could handle them in the interim.
I heard today, they are getting them motel rooms for the ones staying for a while...
Their presence protected the ceremony and that was the intention. |
