He's getting the same treatment from fact-checkers as Trump got. Glen Kessler is the head fact-checker at WAPO and has always taken a nonpartisan approach - when he sees something wrong, he calls it out. The same can be said for outlets such as Politifact. Fact-checking isn't supposed to be partisan.
The reason they seemed to pick on Trump is that he lied constantly; he's still doing it, and they still call him out, but they've stopped counting because he's not that important anymore.
It's kind of amusing that people who considered them "fake news" before are now looking to them as a source of factual information. |
