Since when did conservatives stop advocating for it? Because this is THEIR idea, and they've had the opportunity to make it real, but they never do.

Small government doesn't attempt to control a woman's right to her own body.

Small government and "free market" are conservative principles until that free market does things they don't like; then all of a sudden it's a problem the government has to deal with.

Small government means you don't pass laws that restrict the right to vote, you allow the people to freely exercise their constitutional rights.

The point is that conservatives CLAIM to want small government, but they do the exact opposite by
having the government involved in all aspects of our lives.
