Lack of truckers
Posted by Linda_H/FL of FL on 10/14/21 9:33am Msg #79534
probably a result of

1. COVID - companies closing down due to lack of personnel as a result of sick employees and having to lay off those remaining;

2. Federal infusion of money into unemployment fund - basically instilling the mindset of "why should I work XXX hours when I can get paid more sitting home"

3. Companies now attempting to re-open but unable to find competent workers - or sub-contractors available to work for them

So, fewer capable people working or willing to work - labor shortage = no truckers/not enough truckers

Hence the logjam -

Our brilliant administration at work - then there's that. Wondering when higher-ups are going to realize enough is enough and something needs to be done about the Confuser in Chief
