We also take into consideration that CA has the strictest gun laws of any state, and 5 happened there just this month alone, and consistent leaders of mass shootings throughout the years. As a country, we have had 39 mass shootings since Jan 1st.
If CA has the toughest gun laws and restrictions and yet leads the way, that says that the gun laws are not working.
Maybe the direction needs to change a bit. Instead of everyone sitting like ducks in a pond, there needs to take affirmative action and more ways and means to take the shooters out to deter them in them first place.
You cannot stop crazy or mental illness or someone determined to go out famous, so you have to have in place a system where the threat can be stopped immediately and not just wait for the death totals to rise.
Business owners need to have their establishments armed and ready and be trained for a mass shooter. jmo
