Body camera video of the attack on Paul Pelosi was released today (not recommended viewing for the squeamish), along with video of the assailant breaking into the house and audio of Pelosi's 911 call in which the assailant can be heard in the background as Pelosi made carefully worded statements that led the dispatcher to believe something bad was going on.
If you haven't seen it, it shows the moments when the police showed up. Both Pelosi and the assailant have their hands on the hammer; cops tell the guy to drop the hammer, he refuses, he and Pelosi struggle briefly, and then he lunges at Pelosi, swinging the hammer viciously at his head.
Not easy to watch an 80-year old man get attacked that way. A judge ordered that the video be released because of all the misinformation that has been spread.
It proves, once and for all, that all the theories about "what really happened" are nothing more than a bunch of lies cooked up by right-wing extremists and spread by people like Tucker "Fishsticks" Carlson and Sean Hannity. I wonder if either Sean or "Fishsticks" are going to discuss the evidence and admit they were wrong... |
