Don't forget that no contraceptive is perfect - except maybe a hysterectomy. I've even heard about tubal ligations and vasectomies failing (although rarely)! And then there's rape... Should every person who can potentially get pregnant be on birth control just in case?!
So far, contraceptives are at least still widely available, thank goodness, because statistics support the fact that women of all political persuasions would equally prefer to prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place, if access to birth control is a possibility. To presume otherwise is nonsense, regardless of what those who are intent on maligning 'the left' would have you believe. Some of those same people have murmured about eliminating access to contraceptives, too. THAT's what makes no sense! (I hope those are very few in number and without the power to do anything about it!) |
