it was horrible! Doctor said I just missed by a couple of weeks having a birth defect baby. I have watched people go through having shingles. Again, it's horribly painful.
That said, as soon as I could, I got the vaccine. I think my doctor said you have to be 60. Or maybe that's just when the insurance would pay for it. Anyway, I got it. Didn't pay a dime. A few years later, I was asked if I wanted the shingles vaccine. When I stated I had already had it, the nurse told me, "Oh, there's a new one that is two doses. But, wait, let me double check. You got the first one that came out ....THE GOOD ONE. So, no, you don't need this one that is given in two doses." I think now the only thing you can get is the two dose one.
I had no adverse symptoms or effects with the vaccine.....very glad I got it when I did...... |
