my husband served in Viet Nam. Was in a color guard in Boston during that time and got spit on, called ugly names, and thrown rotten food at. So, demoralizing.
Today we went to a Memorial Day Service here locally that we go to every year. Three strangers came up and thanked him for his service. All branches of the military were honored. He belted out "Anchors Aweigh" with the best of them.
Now, I just have to hear Anchors Aweigh in the shower for the next several days..... |
