Thanks for the link. Not only did I learn a few things, I found lots of good laughs. Some of the best ones were in the comments section, which is well worth reading - some sidetracks notwithstanding.
One thing not listed is "Notary Republic". Wish I had a buck for every time I've heard that one! (I'll have to go back to figure out which category it rightly belongs in. (Oops... I mean "... in which category it rightly belongs." )
This all gives me great pause, however, when I think about what I must sound like in Spanish. Anyone know of a good site for Spanish grammar? I have a grammar text book that's more than 40 years old (with Castilian Spanish) and I shudder to think about what's changed, let alone what I learned incorrectly or don't remember! |
