If you're using the Chrome browser, you might want to rethink that. There was an article in either the NYT or WAPO recently that suggested switching to Firefox because of major privacy issues with Chrome. The reporter did some testing a d found that Chrome lets in any tracker that asks to be let in - he found more than 10,000 of them over about a two or three-week period. Firefox doesn't do that. mostly because Mozilla isn't in that business and they have no incentive to; Google monetizes it.
I switched to Firefox recently because Chrome was getting flaky on some sites. The article confirmed that I probably made a good choice. |
