A young boy walked into a "mom and pop" store and started towards the aisle with detergent on shelves. The proprietor asked the boy "Do you have a lot of laundry to do?" "No" the boy answered "It's for washing my dog."
The man told the boy that detergent like that would kill the dog.
The boy grabbed the box in spite of the man's objections.

A week later the boy came onto the store, this time getting candy. The man asked him "How is your dog?"
"Oh he died." The man didn't want to say "I told you so" so he asked the boy "Did your dog die when you washed him with the detergent? The boy replied "No, I think it was the rinse cycle."
