The state of North Dakota requires all notaries public to purchase a North Dakota notary seal to authenticate their notarial acts. North Dakota does not require notaries public to use a journal or book to record notarial acts performed, but we recommend such a journal as another tool to help you in your business. A North Dakota notary journal can provide records of your notarial acts, in case a notarial act is ever called into question.
