Become a Texas notary public with Notary Rotary, Inc.

Qualifications:

Each person appointed and commissioned as a notary public shall meet the following criteria:

· Be at least 18 years of age
· Be a resident of the State of Texas
· Must never have been convicted of a felony or of a crime involving moral turpitude.

Length of Appointment:

The term of a notary public appointment expires four years after the date the notary public qualifies, unless resigned or revoked sooner.

Step 1: Order the Texas $10,000 surety bond and application form from Notary Rotary, Inc.

Applicants for the office of notary public for the State of Texas must acquire a $10,000 surety bond as part of the application process.

To order, enter the required information, scroll down to locate and select the $10,000 Texas notary bond and application, and follow the instructions through checkout.

Your order will be processed as quickly as possible, usually shipping in 1-2 days.

Step 2: Complete the application as directed and mail to the Secretary of State's office.

When you receive the application form and surety bond you will need to complete the application according to the instructions provided and sign as the principal on your bond.

Once you have completed the application and signed the bond you will need to mail these items, as well as a check, or money order, made payable to the Secretary of State in the amount of $21.00, to the following address.

If the Secretary of State's office approves the application they will send your commission, effective as of the date of qualification, as well as materials outlining the powers, duties, and restrictions of the office. 

Step 3: Order the remainder of your supplies from Notary Rotary, Inc.

All Texas notaries public are required to use a Texas notary seal to authenticate notarial acts as well as a Texas notary journal, or other bound book, to record the necessary details of these acts. The journal, or record book, is necessary even when there is no charge for the notarial act performed. These items may be purchased from Notary Rotary, Inc., as well as many other items you may find useful as a notary public.
