Become an Arizona notary public with Notary Rotary

Qualifications:

Applicants for the office of notary public for the state of Arizona must meet the following requirements.

  • Must be an Arizona Resident
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must not be a convicted felon
  • Must not have had a notary commission license revoked within the previous four years
  • Note: If you do not meet these requirements you should not apply to be an Arizona notary public, as your application will be automatically rejected.

Arizona notaries public are appointed for a commission term of four years.

Step 1: Complete the Arizona Notary Public Application.

Please print off the application and complete is as follows.

  • Print your name exactly as you want your notary commission to be issued.
  • Show your middle initial or name only if you intend to use it when signing as a notary public.
  • List the physical location of your residence; you are commissioned from your home address.
  • Fill in all the blanks on the form and sign the application exactly as your name is printed.
  • The signature on the application you submit must be original.

Step 2: Order your official $5000 Arizona Notary Bond from Notary Rotary.

Each applicant for the office of notary public for the State of Arizona is required to purchase a 4-year $5000 Arizona notary bond in duplicate form. Please visit the Notary Rotary online store, choose Arizona from the menu, and enter the store to purchase your official surety bond.  To order, enter the required information, scroll down through the page to locate and select the desired products, and follow the instructions through checkout.

Step 3: Check your Application Package.

Your application materials should include the following:

  • The original application with the original signature.
  • The duplicate copy of the bond, if you want the Secretary of State to match the dates. Please remember, your bond cannot be issued more than 60 days before or 30 days after the Secretary of State commissions you as a notary.
  • Check or money order in the amount of $25 made payable to the Secretary of State.

Once you have verified the above items are present and completed correctly, send them to:

Send the following to the Clerk of the Superior Court of the county in which you reside.

  • The original bond (notarized and including the original signature).
  • Check or money order in the amount of $18.00 made payable to the Clerk of the Superior Court.

DO NOT SEND YOUR NOTARY APPLICATION TO THE SUPERIOR COURT CLERK.

Step 4: Receive your Arizona notary commission information and order the remainder of your supplies from Notary Rotary.

Once you receive your commission information from the Clerk of Superior Court in the county of your primary residence return to the store at Notary Rotary by clicking on the following link: Arizona Notary Supplies

Choose Arizona from the drop down menu and enter the store to view the entire catalogue of Arizona notary supplies. Fill out the required information and place your order for an official notarial seal and any other supplies you may need. Once you receive your official seal and supplies from Notary Rotary, Inc. you will be ready to begin your duties as an Arizona notary public.
