The acknowledgement wording begins on the 1st page. " I certify under PENALTY OF PERJURY under the laws of the State of California that the foregoing paragraph is true and correct," is on the second page along with the notary signature line and room for the seal. Would anyone sign this second page and place their seal there or would you just add an acknowledgement and leave their ack blank? This is an all California deal. Thanks for your help. |

Posted by Mike Goodey at 9/27/2013 12:31:00 AM | Got a call from a service that wanted me to do a settlement tomorrow...24 pages, 1 set...must fax back. Offered me $45.00...said no thanks...bo is less than 5 miles away... she says $50.00, still no. She wants to know how much? I said $75.00. She says she'll try to get it ok'd and call me back...I'm thinking, yeah I'll never hear from her again. Then I start thinking...am I asking too much? Do I think too much of myself to ask for that much money on an easy job that would probably take 30 minutes total time?
Obvoiusly I never heard from her again and if I had really thought about it, I should have said yes to the $50.00. That's worth $100.00 per hour, where would I get that kind of money and really not have to work hard. I'm going to have to really look hard at myself for trying to reach for the moon and end up with cheese on my face. |

Just got an e-mail from a top company requiring an NNA certification even though I have been certified for 8 years...oh, sorry, but not with NNA. If I refuse, I will get signings from lenders who do not require this but will get less and less work. Who does the NNA think they are?
They have a monopoly on notary training and the fees to prove it.
All I can do is shake my head...and hope I don't hear any rattling. |
