LSI requiring BCG's every year?

Just received an email as of Jan 2014 we will be required to have a BCG every year. Geez in Maryland we have one for our TPL, Commission and then an independent BCG for the title companies. How many do we need?

Received an email stating they want a list of all the
Title companies I service and how many closings I do a week.
They state it's a requirement for their E &O
Insurance? My biggest clients have never requested this info.
Anyone ever receive such requests?

Did you know that we as Maryland Notary Publics can not use a loose acknowledgement for any kind of document nor make a decision on what kind of ack to use? I.E. if there is a POA on a loan package and the acknowledgement is a general acknowledgement we CAN NOT attach the correct acknowledgement. The loan package must go back to the mortgage company for the acknowledgement to be corrected.
And you know how that's going to fly!!

Bought a new HP laptop

Couldn't get it to recognize the legal drawer my husband and I spent hours with it. The printer was fine with letter size. Finally I called the "Geeks" cause I bought the HP from Best Buy (a good deal)
after 4 hours of screwing around with the computer the tech calls me we are talking and I'm telling him my other two computers have no issues with this printer and it dawns on us does the new HP have Adobe? Of course not HP has installed it own program. So beware folks if you buy a new HP take off the HP program and install Adobe!

Maryland Closing Agents theres a new law

As of July 1st 2013 all properties in Maryland require a Maryland Refinance Affidavit, that includes INVESTMENT PROPERTIES! The state of Maryland will be giving discounts on investment properties using the same calculations as if it were a primary residence. Make sure you carry the four different affidavits in your briefcase or there will be additional trips. Now NO DOT will be recorded without the Maryland Refinance Affidavit unless it's a purchase. If you need copies of the four different affidavits let me know. I will email them to you.
