DOT paper size

I'm in CA and was recently told the Deed of Trust had to be printed on letter size paper to be legal. Anyone know if this is true?

I print everything on legal.... have never had a problem. I have a couple of friends who work for title companies and they say when they get back legal size papers that need to be letter they just cut them down to letter size. It's always good to ask if you can print all docs on legal.
