Gotta love the end of the month.

Just recveived a call from a lender telling me that I will be getting docs in the next 1/2 hour for a 8pm (est) closing. thank god the borrower is very understanding.

I'm printing my last set for the night. One more to go and I'm done! You gotta love the desperate money! I said sure I'll do it @ 10:30 it'll cost you, though.

I still do not have the docs. the best part about this is I was contacted at 11am this morning.

I was called at 4:45 to do a 5pm closing and didn't get the docs till 6:30. Borrower wasn't home and I called 4 times over the course of 2 hours. Lender called borrower and they said 10:30. I said no. Lender offered me $500 to do it. I wish I could have. But they found another notary.

I'm curious what were you doing at 10:30pm that you couldn't do the loan signing? I realize its none of my business!!

Joan - The same thought crossed my mind. I'm glad you asked. I was just thinking, SHOOT, I just did a 10:30 for half of that. I feel cheap.

Me, too! At least I got home before midnight tonight, unlike last night. But month-end is making up for the slow period at the beginning of the month, so I'm not complaining!

Waiting for the docs. The lender was on the west coast. By they way then never did come because they need additonal info to approve the loan.

I received 6 calls from around 3:30 to 4:30 yesterday to do closings last night. I work FT til 5 and was only able to do 2 of them. What a rush. Does anyone charge extra if you schedule something late in the evening? One guy wanted me to drive an hour for a 9:00 appt. and was going to pay me $50. I wanted to tell him he could go pound sand.

Yesterday was insane we were booked all day and night. Turned down 15 calls from title companies.

What kills me is Country Wide.. They schedule for 5pm (If you know Country Wide that will never happen) Needless too say my 5pm turned out to be 9pm

Its like a juggling act the last day of the month, I always ask who the lender is and adjust schedules.

We finished everything about 1am.

I am booked solid till Saturdy this week.
