POA question

I am doing a signing tonight. Both husband's and wife's names are on mortgage. The wife has POA for husband and will be signing for both. I know how to have her sign as POA but do I list her name twice in the Acknowledgement as herself and as POA for her husband?

I'm waiting for reply from my SOS.

In Ca you would only list her name once, KS may be different.

I just looked through the Kansas Notary Handbook and I could not find anything dealing with POA so I do not know what to tell you. In my opinion I would list her name twice just to be on the safe side. I do not know if this helps or not but let me know what you find out. Also let me know what you do.

I am in Great Bend where are you located?

I've spoken to the notary clerk at the SOS. She says to list as follows:

In the acknowledgment:

....personally appeared by:
Jane Doe
Jane Doe, Attorney In Fact for Jack Jones

Reginald, I'm in Luisberg

Thanks for finding out how you handle the POA.

You are over near the State Line or at least closer than I am I am right in the middle of the state.
