Witness Only

Could someone please tell me what a Witness Only signing is?

It's where you go to a signing and witness the borrower's signatures. Pretty basic signing.

Re: Witness Only - a CYA term

It's a term used when the SS or title company wants to cover themself. If you exceed just witnessing and noterizing, they can claim you did it on your own and against directions. At the same time, they want you to "describe" the documents to the borrower.
