FASS

I was contacted over a hour ago for a signing tomorrow at a location about 30 miles from me (one way) I told the caller that I wanted $75 (documents were going to the borrowers). You guessed it, "I'll check and get back to you" Still haven't gotten a call from him. Guess they found someone cheaper. I thought I was pretty cheap only asking $75, but what can I say.

I asked for $55 on a signing in my town, and they found someone else. Guess what. That someone else traveled almost 50 miles one way. WOW!! Talk about undercutting the industry.

I say if the notary needs the money that bad then they can have it! With gas prices the way they are I won't go for less then 75 and 100 for email docs.

Re: FASS Update

I turned down $125 on a true purchase closing that was 125 miles round trip. I asked for $175 which @ .40 per mile was $50 + $125. I don't think I was out of line...was I ??
