Laser Printer Shopping
I need a printer that will print automatically legal or standard pgs, I will need two trays.
I have checked with Dell because I have an account and monies are tight but can't seem to figure out what's standard and what's options.
If any one has a dell or any other printer that is similar to what I need please give me your suggestions.

I have a Dell 1700 and bought the 500 pg dual tray to go with it. Works fine, automatically detects and selects page sizes if you follow the directions to set it up through the dell print utility which you install from the cd that comes with it. Let me know if you have any other questions...

I have the Dell 1700 w/the 500 sheet second tray. I love it. Paid $251 with tax & shipping. It prints 25 ppm! I had to negotiate that price though. They told me a higher price. I told them my friend bought it for $250 & that is the price I wanted with tax and shipping. They gave me $251.

Marla
Will it allow you to print out all e-docs including the PCL6 requirement?

My Dell 1700 has printed atleast 13K pages (all kind of edocs) without a glitch. The 200Mhz processor in it does make a different compared to others in its range. One thing Dell & HP has in common when it comes to compatibility (PCL compliant) is that they both make computers.
I also have an HP4200 which is rated at 25ppm, but the Dell would smoke it by atleast 3 times in print speed.

Thanks for all the info
I'm going to look into the Dell. It sounds much less expensive than the HP and if it is as capable, why not?

I have the Dell 1700 as well with the dual tray and upgraded memory. I love it and have never had a problem printing from any software. I would highly reccomend it.
