Toner at a Discount for Notaries

I just negotiated with www.inksupplystation.com to offer toner cartridges at a discount for us notaries. Just use this code when you purchase and you'll get an additional 10% off the already discounted price. Yea!

NR071505

The NR lets them know you are a notary so they can track the order volume. If enough notaries order toner from them, they may increase the discount. Double yea! Be sure and post your experience with them on the message board so we can monitor the quality and service. So far, I'm impressed... since they were sensitive to my need: a cartridge a month -- that get's expensive! Happy toner buying to everyone!

I just checked the site.
The toner cartridge for my printer is $83.50. At www.inkjetsuperstore.com the toner cartridge for my printer is $42.88 (or $34.95 for a remanufactured one).

Even with the discount, inksupplystation is a lot more expensive.

Re: To Sylvia

Like I said in my post, I learned about it on this board, so it may have been a post from youSmiley

It was about a couple of weeks ago, so it probably was your post. If I had remembered I would have given you the credit, but I couldn't remember who it was.

Sounded great, but I have an HP Laserjet 4000 and they don't carry the cartridge for this printer. Thanks anyway!

Try www.ldproducts.com they seem to have quite a variety of cartridges. Inkjet Superstore beats their prices on alot, but if when I buy 3+ of same, apply their 10% coupon, plus they ship free for $50+ orders -- I'm always ahead.

Example: for my Brother 5150DLT - high yield 570 cart's:
Inkjet price $32.95 per
LD price 3 for $105 ($35 per) - 10% off(10.50) = $94.50 SHIPPED FREE (avg. $31.50 per)

Every bit counts.

Don't forget the sales tax, if it applies, could also make a difference.

This is what is listed for my HP3015 printer on the inkjetsuperstore web-site. Does anyone know why the second one listed is so expensive? What does MICR stand for?

The MICR toner is used when printing checks. How it works I couldn't tell you but what it is suppose to do is make the print non-removable. With the rash of fraudulant cashier checks and people removing the print on checks and typing in new amounts the MICR toner is suppose to give you more security.

No, it doesn't make the print non-removable. MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition and is a character recognition system that uses special ink (with magnetic properties) and character formation. When a document that contains this ink needs to be read, it passes through a machine, which magnetizes the ink and then translates the magnetic information into characters.

MICR technology is used by banks. Numbers and characters found on the bottom of checks (usually containing the check number, sort number, and account number) are printed using Magnetic Ink. To print Magnetic Ink need, you need a laser printer that accepts MICR toner.
