OT: Gotta Love Little Old Ladies!

A minister decided to do something a little different one Sunday morning.

He said "Today, in church, I am going to say a single word and you are going to help me preach. Whatever single word I say, I want you to sing whatever hymn that comes to your mind.

The pastor shouted out "CROSS."

Immediately the congregation started singing in unison, "THE OLD RUGGED CROSS."

The pastor hollered out "GRACE"
The congregation began to sing "AMAZING GRACE, how sweet the sound."

The pastor said "POWER"
The congregation sang "THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD."

The Pastor said "SEX" The congregation fell into total silence.

Everyone was in shock. They all nervously began to look around at each other afraid to say anything.

Then all of a sudden, way from in the back of the church, a little old 87 year old grandmother stood up and began to sing "PRECIOUS MEMORIES."

Pass this along and make someone smile today (I just did).

GOTTA LOVE LITTLE OLD LADIES

I sent it to [e-mail address]
That is the address I had in my address book. Maybe I should have sent it to your gmail account. I can forward it to the gmail address if you want me to.

Re: Sylvia, Macy & I would like to know...

I picked up Lil Bit and she was fine. But Friday night she became withdraw and hid out of the way. Couldn't get her to eat or drink. She was the same yesterday.
This evening she has started to pick up. She is going to be fine!

Poor baby, she will pick up as each day goes by.

Sylvia - tolerate me here. I'm into this "Dog Whisperer" thing big time. Try not to fuss too much over Lil Bit. Just be normal....oh, crap. Sylvia, lavish Lil Bit with kisses. Who gives a care what Cesar Millan says. What does he know about our babies???

Re: Sylvia, Macy & I would like to know...Cesar...

He's working with dogs, not dog babies. There is a major difference.

You are correct, dogs in his eyes....babies in ours. Therein lies the very reason he has a job. Big Smile

Re: Sylvia, Macy & I would like to know...

In England, the vet would always come out to me. (I bred Lhasas, and had a Yorkie then too). One week he was on vacation and had a locum. I took two of my Lhasas to the vet and they had to see the locum. I did not like her!!! She was horrified when my husband allowed one of the Lhasa's to lick his face (didn't she know that doggie kisses are the BEST!) Then she proceeded to tell us that we shouldn't bathe the dogs, but let them run in the stream (there wasn't a stream anywhere near us), and then told us that dogs do not have emotions!!!
On checkout I told the receptionist that I wasn't about to pay the bill until we saw a real vet! She agreed, apparently there had been other complaints about the locum.

Schmeckle,Surgarh, and Sweet Little Angel Baby send

their love and so do I. My eyes have been kissed by those darlings when I cried for Lil Bit. She'll perk up more each day. Bless you both!

Ilona I just have to ask....

Where or how does the name "Schmeckle" happen? I bet it's important to you and for a reason....I've just never heard it.

I got sort of irritated at the Vets...apparently I am not the only one who has thought of "Chachi" for their Chihuahua. Excuse me? There is no other!!!

Re: Ilona I just have to ask....

I don't know their reason either, however the Yiddish word "Schmeikel" means To swindle, con, fast-talk. (BrendaTX...refer to YOUR list of Yiddish words for this and many others) :-)

"Doc" Stuart aka Shmuli and to you all I say "Zol zein gezunt! - Be well!"

Sylvia thanks for that laugh and smile.

I've been thinking of you all weekend.

Chachi sends his best to Lil Bit, recovering after surgery. I think he has a crush.
