You gotta read this for yourselves...

I laughed for a good 10 minutes. Sorry Indiana.

Well maybe some good might come out of it...

I think that sometimes targets are picked because we indicate their importance. Maybe this could work in our favor! I'm sure a bunch of terrorists would be far easier to notice if they go check out an Amish Flea Market in Indiana then if they hang out across the street from a New York Bank! LOL

I am one NRite who appreciates your posts. I can't for the life of me figure how the dissemination of information/knowledge is construed by some as starting a fight! Or that a public forum for Notaries Public (public servants) is an inappropriate place to discuss public/governmental policies. Go figure...

"Or that a public forum for Notaries Public (public servants) is an inappropriate place to discuss public/governmental policies. Go figure..."

It is inappropriate. You've seen how politial threads evolve on this board. Just because we're regulated by the government doesn't mean that any and all political topics are on target here.

And of course it was Jahari that posted it. Why he can't seem to keep his politics to himself is beyond me. "It's not meant to start a fight", but he knows exactly what's going to happen, just like his "I only posted a movie review" thread. Pathetic.

Cali... please expound... in what way is it "inappropriate?"... I just don't find information and knowledge inappropriate anywhere. It usually comes down to an individual's inability to intelligently express an opinion without screaming "inappropriate!" (translation.... I can't express myself very well... don't have any facts to support my argument).

I could post information and knowledge about why NAMBLA really isn't so bad on here but it's not appropriate for the board. I could give a bunch of links to pro KKK sites but it isn't appropriate for the board. I could go on and on about why gay marriage should be legalized but it isn't appropriate for the board. I could find an article about why Christianity is the only correct religion and how everyone else is going to burn in hell but it isn't appropriate for the board.

If your opinion is that it's always appropriate to start political discussions no matter what the forum, then there's no point in me wasting my time trying to explain it to you.

Merry you need to know Jahari's history here

It is long, politically extreme, left wing and he has a huge political agenda that rolls over to Notary Rotary. He should be on a chat forum in MSN for socialism.

Expounding can't happen because you must search all his posts to get it.

I would laugh too if it weren't for the fact that this is so pathetic. Beyond belief! No wonder so many countries think of us arrogant, idiots.

After seeing FEMA in action after Charlie, Jeanne and Frances in 2004, I am not surprised at all to see such a waste of taxpayer's money. The Department Head needs to ask himself "will I end up like Mike Brown?" I started writing my Senators and Congressmen about Mike Brown's shaninagins in Jan 2005. Too bad it took Katrina for the rest of the country to see. "You're doing a great job, Brownie." SAY WHAT?

You're a Bunch of Hypocrites

Just thinking out loud...

Someone posts a thread with "OT..." and gets blasted because it "wasn't pofessional." Yet, Jahari posts "You gotta read this for yourselves..." with no OT and there's hardly a response except from Cali. It's hypocritical. Just a I thought the board took a turn for the better, this post shows up. If you're going to post something controversial that is unrelated to our industry, please precede it with OT. LB

Kyle to be fair Marlene did address the OT in her response.

I have learned that if Jahari starts a thread is is usually going to lead to politics one way or another. I guess sometimes it stops by the movies first.
If he post in the subject the "notary" question or observation I will try and be helpful, otherwise I really just don't give a rants damn.

Jahari OT = Off Topic

You need to start with "OT" if you are going to talk about off topic subjects. It warns people that this topic is not notary related, so they don't have to waste their time clicking on it. It does not show consideration for others on the board if you don't warn that your message is OT.

How many more ways can we ask/urge/beg him to stop?

I just don't know what else to say. No matter how many people say something, no matter how many times it causes an uproar, he just keeps posting off topic hot button politically charged posts (disclaimer: I've stopped reading his posts so I don't even know what this thread is about. But what else is it ever about?). I don't think it makes anyone a hypocrite, we're just tired of banging our heads against the same wall with him every day.

Al, he won't follow the guidelines here

So the only avenue is to write to Harry.

Jeez...how many times have I posted this......"If you are sick of Jahari's political bend on a notary forum, please write to the moderators and owner, Harry Shoemaker".

It is the nature of the beast

Relentless hammering down others throats, don't every have an original thought and if you aren't swallowing my crap.....I'll wear you out until you do.

I think in the third world and socialistic countries it's called politically correct. Here, I think it's called brainwashing.

Apologies for forgetting the OT tag

I debated posting in response to the messages left in this thread for a good long while.

To all the people that actually read the article and the report as an American taxpayer concerned with national security in our country and where their tax money is going. To those that actually became better informed by it and made it a part of themselves, great. I applaud you for reading it and adding it to your mental rolodex and learning something from it and will use it in your lives.

The others, the usual suspects, the troublemakers, I simply refuse to acknowledge.

Good night.

Yes, where would we be...

without your daily attempts to "better inform" us on politics? Of course by "better inform," you mean "think like I do." Man, you must be a total buzz kill at parties, bullying people with your claptrap. Got any notary education to share? You know, on this little NOTARY forum? Ever?

Let me make a very sincere suggestion. Start a blog, Jahari. Then every day, you can educate people to your way of thinking ad nauseam and only people who want to have your drivel shoved down their throat have to see it.

Believe me, from the constant flow of e-mails I get from forumites completely sick of your garbage, there are a lot of people adding YOU to their "mental Rolodex." Applaud that.

Thank goodness you refuse to acknowledge the usual suspects. Maybe now someone else can manage to get the last word. Maybe....

And those that complained that Jahari didn't list his post as OT, let me save you some trouble. When you see his name, just assume it's OT. You'll be right 99% of the time. Problem solved.

Good Night. And God Bless the greatest country in the world, even if some don't recognize how great it is.

Well we set a record for the amount of hours

we could remain civil, I guess that's a good sign. On a side note, I read the link, went in and read the Government information within that link, and wasn't I surprised to see a special on my local news last night about one of the targets that is here in my state that was stated in the Government link! Do you suppose that news person reads this board??? ~weak grin~
