Gee - I thought my fee was more than fair...

Signing for tomorrow 5:00 (rush hour) - 50-55 miles one way - e-docs - she offered e-doc fee plus $50.00 signing fee - PSHAW!! say I - I can't do it for less than $130-140 - get that approved and I can do it ...

She'll call me back - that was over 2 hours ago - no call...Frown..I thought that was a reasonable fee for that trip. Yea...nay??

I think you were being more than reasonable! I would have charged a minimum of $150....

$175.00 - $185.00 for that length of a trip.

That was my initial fee but I dropped it because I AM just starting out - can't expect top dollar in the beginning...

They found someone closer, cheaper... or both. Ya' can't win 'em all. Stick to your fees.

Linda - my fees would have been closer to what Brad stated.

What area of Florida are you in? I understand the traffic issues in some of our metro areas and do not budge when it comes to my bottom line. Thank goodness I'm not dealing with Orlando, WPB or Miami/Dade traffic, but PSL at 5pm is a real pain and I do charge accordingly.

Was that you with the NVTS thing? If so did you get it? If not, email me and I'll explain further. It's nice to see our movie quote buff Beth/MD in the house tonight. I know she got it. Anyway, History of the World Part I should be in everyone's DVD collection...a true comedic masterpiece. IMO

I say you gave them a reasonable quote (not including e-docs).

LOL...no - the $130-140 included e-docs (yes, I know, slap me silly!!) - like I said I'm just starting out so I tried to be a bit reasonable - it's all a moot point now - still no callback and no confirmation...

Don't sweat it, I just had the same thing last week. They wanted me to travel (40 mi.) an hour away and give me $75 too, I said I would do it for $125, they said it they were trying to get their base fee of $75. Oh well, not worth my time. May be even better to hold out for closer signings that are more worth your time (that way, if something is wrong on docs you don't have a long trip involved anyway).
