HELP...

First of all...hello and I hope everyone is doing well!

I am having a total brain lapse today and I was wondering if someone might help...Am I correct when I state that when you are closing a loan for lets say a FL property in GA (an attorney state), you can legally have a notary close because it is a FL property????

I feel so dumb asking this question whereas we have only had this situation arise a few times and I remember getting comflicting answers last time on this.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I am pretty sure you need an attorney in GA no matter where the property is.

See PAW's message # 146774.

If you are physically in Ga. you need an attorney to close. If your closing Ga. property in another state you don't need an attorney. ie: I own a house in Ga. I re-fied from my home in Florida. Didn't need an attorney but did need 2 witnesses because Ga. requires it.

Hope that helps.
