Had an odd signing ...

I had a siging last night, borrower brings out a notary journal an asks me to turn it end to who ever. Seems his wife was a notary and passed away and he wanted to get the journal turned in to the county clerk. I took it down to the county clerk, got a receipt for the journal to give to her husband to prove I did turn it in to the county clerks office. Such and odd feeling to do that for someone. Plus the fact that my brother just passed away and the funeral is Saturday and I've been making all the arrangements and trying to get all the signings I had scheduled previously done.

That's a tough one Kate, my condolences, you need to be

commended for helping out and turning n the journal. You helped out a fellow notary and the notary community in general and at a time when you were feeling your own grief. My hat is off to you, you are a definate asset to the community.

I share the same sentiment. I am pretty sure your clients would understand if you need to cancel the scheduled signings.....you and your family are the priority during this sad time.

Kate my prayers are with you and your family....
I lost my brother 20+ years and only the prayers of others help get me through that difficult time.

You have my deepest empathy for your loss. I know how bad it is to lose a brother. I lost mine almost 11 yrs ago now. Prayers to you and your family.
